Poem Artwork

I feel the very precense of your energy
I know not why you come
Especially for me
I want you to be the old love
Come back with passion's fire
Compassion in your every breath
But I know that is a lie
Sweet mystery who speaks to me
Can you repair this heart
Have you come to tempt my spirit
Bring back to it the spark
The essence it's been missing
It's passion in a void
The wonton full spontaneity
That somehow goes ignored
Can you wish me into focus
With a promise that will keep
Can you rock me into midnight
Hold me tightly while I sleep
Or sing me into heaven
Pronounce my every sigh
Never leave me lonely
And never make me cry
Mystery love of passion's call
Why do you come for me
Do you come within a miracle
Or do you come to watch me bleed?

awesome poem that i relate to very much so ...

"I watch you staring into your dreams
Where they lead
I may never know

But I do know I am around you
Applauding
As I watch you bleed"

from "Watching You Bleed"

Tremendous, Susan!! The re-awakening of love is such a frisson and yet also such a sharp pain as well, rekindling our blueprinted memory of our experience of love as we have known it before. Beautiful poetry... I can never get over how you achieve so much in such short lines and in your inimitable dense and compacted style... whilst yet maintaining such delicious rhythm and flow. Truly lyrical and classically epic this is. A wonderful moment to savour when past, present and hope for the future are brought together in one inner Big Bang of realisation. All of life and love flashes before the eyes here. Longingly lovely. TY Kate xx

Once a heart has been hurt the scar remains. And yes, from that moment on the soul begins to question, sort and seperate the ideas of what true is and what true love is not. How else do we learn unless we question and measure?

Because you are there. The sea of moods includes longing, and you can't hold back its constant washing on your shore.

You ask the questions that probe deep enough to show how many times those who come haven't a clue! Sis I wish we knew where the ones that know are!;-) Superb write as you always do,stirring all the senses!

What a searching and asking poem. A poem full of hope and wonder and mystery, which added together make for one hell of a premise for a poem a short story, even a novel. Damn! Liked this one.

These are the inponderables and mysteries of love...
