Loneliness is a cruel fate and harsh master, a steady and relentless companion some have to endure thoughout their lives in this place and time. And while one by one others have shared parts of their lives with them and left again after some time, they are stuck with the strict teacher once more with whom never a warm relationship develops, for being taught all the time tends to bar them from things in life that others seem to be blessed with so abundantly. This long and winding road will lead - I hope desperately - to places and times where there is space for more joy than loneliness ever allowed them to experience. I just cannot believe the journey toward destiny is exclusively one of loneliness and sadness.

I am not much on quoting parts of poems in my comments, but I must here. This is one of the most dynamic statements I have ever read. The rest of the poem bolstered this beautiful, but sad beginning of a special and lasting romance. Aswsome. (Another word I seldom use.)
