Human Tracks Preserved in Rock That Date Back 117,000 Years Ago
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Life is a puzzle from birth. We search most of our lives without success meeting the superficial in most cases, This is all about winning and believing.
When you look at her and wonder
There are parts you can not see
Like the half of her that's missing
For the whole that's not to be
You see a woman shining
Feet planted in the ground
What you can't see is the sorrow
Or just where it once was found
Her appearance is astounding
For never would you guess
That this soul grieves no longer
And her insides aren't a mess
Nor a jumble...for this horseman
Came and took her soul
Left a gypsy spirit breathless
Took a part and left a whole
For his gift to her...his answer
His love was here and gone
Now the whole of her is seeking
The heart he took and won.
Let him go with freedoms spirit
For he left her with a glow
Took a heart that wasn't beating
Left a seed with which to sow
Many memories in the making
And a promise to return
To the part of her that's missing
For the soul still here that yearns
Today is worth the waiting
The future is a guess
As the soul of one so empty
Is a part of him... at best.
And the love of two good spirits
Beat forever a new whole
And the part that wasn't total
Is a story to be told.
These metaphysical pages from the biography of A WOMAN SHINING demonstrate more than a little wisdom. They surge with the profound power and depths of human souls and human love. An extremely satisfying read.
Stunning work. Such a great life view too, pleasure to read and see words just glide into one with ease..
I found this very uplifting and uniquely refreshing..
Belle ... there is always undertones in your writes of something unrequited in your life. I believe, and I am going out on a limb here, it is those things that have eluded you in your own personal life, or those things that have not turned out the way you wanted them to, that have given you the impetus to write as deeply and wonderfully as you do.
Writers need tension to create, I believe. Something that gnaws at them as being unjust or wrong, or needful of something one doesn't have, or wanting to be able to change something for the better. I hope this makes sense.
Your writes always touch me in the heart first ... this is a talent.
I believe the pics are from 'round here in Glen Rose, Texas, just down the road a piece. :) What an amazing pen you possess, Susan; this has got to be your best yet. You continue to soar with each write, higher and higher! Well done! DEFINATELY a keeper.
