In the light of evening shade
A ray of silver gently lays
Upon a bead of moisture frought
With passion pangs
Secure and caught
From the shadows a mistress maid
Comes to lick each silvered bead
Takes his lips in raw delight
To draw his moans into the night.
So beautifully gossamer and subtle with that moonlit shimmer. The mention of the maid makes me think of Carol Ann Duffy's "Warming Her Pearls" - at least, the heterosexual version of it! Wonderful writing as always. Whether you write short or long, it's well-controlled and mastered. TY Kate xx
