adieu

by Cynth'ya Lewis Reed — Read all 584 poems by Cynth'ya Lewis Reed

It is now 3:53 a.m. EST. I have grieved, and she is soon going to be free. She will soon be free. Unexplainably free. Our connection is mysteriously strong and alive. Even though we are just 25 miles apart I feel She is slipping. . . I could feel it in her hands; see it in her dimming eyes. She's tired, and that means God is carrying her home I believe very soon now.

Poem Artwork

beautiful Lady
full of essence Divine
must soon go away

to a place beyond
the silver hemline of age
unravels freely

watch silk threads tumble
in a bunch around Her feet
wash with tears. . .then kiss

for Her chariot. . .
Her chariot is driven
by the Prince of Peace

(I love you Grandmama, thank you for freeing me. . . cynth'ya)

To Cynth'ya Lewis Reed
Perhaps you had an angel on loan and she has completed her mission.
Let us hope and believe that what we have bound on earth will be bound in the universe.
May the Creator comfort embrace you and keep you and yours.
May peace and blessings unfold for you during this time and always.
May you remember that you are not alone as you allow our love and
God's love to envelope you..

She is so beautiful my friend and you know that we all must go this way someday. The Lord is waiting for her and she must go when he is ready. She must lay down her weary soul upon his breast and rest a while. She is only asleep until the trumpet sounds that will awaken her rested eyes.
