Negative words that freeze, tease and hold us down on the ground!
Down words affect our roll, sooner or later they take their toll. Birthed out another mouth foul, truly worked on us as a child. Some continue to afflict, for years causing great conflict.
A father screamed, "stupid boy!" For years these words destroy. Products of stupid insensitivity, aimed at preventing positive activity. Overcome, adapt improvise, shed negative words not wise.
Quite a few operate to down, listen to them you'll hit the ground. Nothings worse than being stopped, other than your head being chopped. Fear of failure will romance, but it's still best to foward advance. Don't be held down, keep positivity abound!

Put downs do nothing to pick us up do they? Somehow we have make sure our injuries mend and we go on without resorting to the same tactics. It's very hard, for we human beings are a sorry lot aren't we? Grady, you have given us another great message.

i have been there, myself, years later i still feel the pain. i was told i was worthless, i wouldn't amount to anything, or was stupid and retarded. i now know i am not, but the words still sting. powerful write; thanks for sharing!
