Better have some fun,
because profit,
there's hardly none.
Unless you're famous or a star,
you might as well stay in your car.
Everything in life takes hard work first,
then later on you may quench your thirst.
So it's best to at least try,
some have many personal reasons why.
I got mine,
you got yours,
so less blast the doors.

Poets are low on the totem pole,
climbing up takes heart and soul.
Other writers depending,
on the message they're sending.
The pie in the sky traditional,
refuse to recognize the
self published fiction or non-fictional.

No body knows our pain,
nobody knows our sorrow,
hopefully wings will fly tomorrow.
Until then there's this itch,
to write a way out of the ditch.
Knock, knock, knocking on literary doors,
hardly anyone but the famous scores.
So I travel this road of none,
the only profit being my fun.
