Taking a little time off,
not doing nothing real heavy,
quite a bit soft.
Even while at work,
it'll be the same type perk.
The job will get done,
but along with a little fun.

Sure there'll be vacation,
but all time adds in equation.
Now every second counts,
even in small amounts.
It all equals break,
so every second I'll take.

My back hurts,
arthritus flirts.
My walk has become
a little slanted,
so I'm taking nothing
for granted.
Surely job demands,
but my boss understands.
It's been many years since
my date of hire,
in a few more
I'll be able too retire.
