Some lines stand marked, others can't be seen, in this life sometimes mean,
marked mostly by the color green..
The great wall of China, stretching as far as the eye can see, an eagle soars above looking down, a bird of prey hungry.
A little rabbit hops around on the ground, not knowing of the incoming danger, knows nothing of Jesus being born in a manger. But Jesus was born in a barn. Not far away a so called human being awakes to yearn.
Everything and everybody, that's if we can make a seperation of beings, are hungry needing nourishment. We know who will win the struggle, but wait a minute a big tiger looms in the distant, growling and prowling, is it food he seeks?
The great wall sits there watching, as life looms in its presence. Up above a jet fighter zooms, on the wings is an eagle insigna, branded, marked for identification.
Across the border, soldiers march in the morning sunrise. Action is happening all around. The eagle finally grabs the little rabbit off the ground. The tiger looks up at potential.
The soldiers march into the dinning hall, they all know of the wall. There's a border, they have to keep in order. Borders and walls seperate, while politicians negotiate.
In the mean time the tiger roams, cares nothing of borders and lines. A soldier sits at his post, another soldier they both toast, with cups of black coffee.
The tiger falls like the rabbit, men, soldiers with a sporting habit. The tiger lies wounded near death, knowing nothing of lines. The jet fighter patrols on, the eagle watches.
Many miles away, the Berlin wall, dividing the east from the west. Who knows which is best? One side holds freedoms to enjoy, standing looking up is a little girl and boy.
They hope for freedom one day, it came when the wall went away. Yet the big rats under ground enjoy freedom crossing, never suffered any bossing. A tree hawk awaits, his hunger dictates.
Where are we at now, Mexico in America, might as well not have a border, we have no true controlling order. Cheap labor and opportunity flashes, can't blame those crashes.
But wait, somewhere sits a man, he sits with a plan, one made in his head, but a flag flashes red. He happens to be an American yank, he plans to rob a bank. He ignores the red, crosses the line instead, now he lies in the ground dead.
In the football stadium across town, two goal lines mark, both equal a touch down in the park. On two sides of the stadium people cheer, a touch down is almost near.
i enjoyed all your comparisons, especially how you also through in sports - many of us forget it is a root of competition proclaming winners and losers
Great write. Life is a series of cycles. One ends... another begins. Not always a happy situation. Sometimes down right sad.
But that's life.

While there may be differences of opinion on where the line is, it does not mean we should avoid looking for it--and when we find it, we should know what to do next!

Johnny Cash sung about walking the line, with a philosophy bleeding from a guitar.
Drawing the line in the sand...dare to cross it!
There are many lines, ones to be crossed, other, never; man most know where the status quo says to do or not to do.
This poem needs to be read at least twice to really understand what are coming from its deeps.
