quite a few still survive on the bottom....

I was shootng for the top,
then my plan went flop,
I couldn't even get it to stop.
Life put me in a trick,
I was spiraling down quick.
I tried to flick my bic,
found it didn't even have a wick.

There I stood in the dark,
many days I sat out in the park.
Failure never was an option,
seems my plans made the adoption.
I learned to deal with failing,
it's like a ship
on the ocean sailing.

Without a good captain in sync,
the ship might sink.
So I went straight to the bottom,
no one else knew I had sunk,
I'm still down below,
all the reasons personally I know.

What does a man do,
when he's lost his whole crew?
I'm still figuring the math,
trying to keep the devil out of my path.
Everyday I pray,
still get out and play.
The bottoms better this way.
But for me it will be no surprise,
if one day I rise.
