All my enemies should get a kick out of this poem, it's just one negative story out of hundreds of positive ones.
I autographed a book,
given at graduation and 50 dollars,
hoping my friends sons would
take a look.
Let the same kid cut my grass,
so he could have some
spending cash.
Gave his brother a job,
so he wouldn't go out and rob.
Troubled young boys,
fooling with the wrong toys.
This was several years back,
fast forward to get on track.
I was checking out Amazon,
one of my books fifty one cent upon.
So I ordered it right away,
the book arrived today.
To my surprise,
I had to blink my eyes.
It was the same book I gave
my friends son above,
so much for helping and love.
Maybe I should have kept
my fifty dollars
in my pocket too.
Book seemed still brand new,
whether he read it,
I have no clue.

Neat one, Grady! My own copy of the book has now been read by a number of the locals here in New Boston, including one police officer and several teens. I wish this book could be required reading for every 12-year-old kid and their parents, especially those in troubled metro cities.
What a blessing you gave from your heart, then, Gem...you should never regret that...ever. How wonderfully ironic it came back to you. Now...what enemies???? Moreso envious, methinks.

Isn't that an interesting story!!! What are the chances that the book would come back to its owner!!! Good thing you have the book maybe just maybe it was always meant for someone else...
