This is pattern after the tv show Kung-fu, conversations between the master and grasshopper.
Master I don't want to do
I feel lazy too
Grasshopper this is a human trait
quite a few exist in this state
but it doesn't have to be your fate
But master how do I overcome
such a trait
without it affecting my fate
Grasshopper you are asking
a blind man how you can
overcome something you
have eyes to see
I can not even see where
I'm going
Must less a lot of times what
I'm doing
I mastered kung-fu anyway
this is why I'm a master today
In life you will have many handicaps
also there are many traps
How you overcome
seperates you from the rest
and makes you your best
Go now and do something
constructive
instead of something destructive
Go find some ants
and watch them work
you should get a perk
But master I've seen the ants
carrying heavy loads
Should I go try and lift
something bigger than I
Not really grasshopper
you can start by
lifting your behind up
when you feel down and corrupt
Just don't sit and wallow
even if you have too
get up and scream and holler
Do anything except
just sitting and being lazy
I will rest now grasshopper
I feel tired and lazy
See it is natural to
feel this way
especially after a hard day
but not before you
work or play
DAMNED GOOD ONE, G... Especially for me, as I am running out of money, food, no rent for august and I have yet to find a job though I had a 2 hour interview just the other day that "seemed" to be pretty good or maybe I just talk too much...Thanks for this inspiration...E & R
Enjoyed this my friend, I've not watched Kung Fu in....I don't know how many years it's been! I always enjoyed the show, and I enjoyed your poem as well. I could envision the old man sitting calmly giving the young lad advice just as he did in the show! A wise message within the lines also my friend, I too cannot stand to see someone idle their life away! Well done, enjoyed this much!
I have written a chapter called I Am That, I Am in this inspirational compilation book by best-selling authors and wonderful people from all walks of life xox :-D (Its sister book is called Adventures In Manifesting - Success and Spirituality)
Do You Know Street Fighter Will Beat Kung Fu/Do In All Out Fight? Why,i.e.He(I) Follow No Rules...
