Some have said
that they're not going
to be afraid
I've even played the
tune sincerely
only to have new fears yearly
Old age can play a violin
then the fears begin
The atmosphere gets thin
but worry is the worse sin

This new year I resolute
to not let my fears pollute
and I'm somewhat destitute
to carry out my plans to the letter
starting with getting better
and not letting fear be
my brains babysitter
but it's very easy to be a quitter
It's better to be a hard hitter
no matter how strong
the transmitter

The devil will transmit
and he won't quit
Even life takes it's share
to straighten our hair
That is if we have any left
after the melee
In this crazy world every mans
lucky to make another day
no matter what he say
But we should try to enjoy
before final decay
So I write my check to pay
then continue my play
starting on this years eve day
