All our days are numbered, nothing or no one lives forever.
The flies time left really
was less than a day
so he had very little time
to play
Any second he could be
going away
He buzzed the man trying
to get a good bite
The man would swing
the fly then took flight
The battle went on into
the dark of night
The man figured sooner or later
he would finally swat the fly
not knowing he'd be the
first to die
The fly spent his time wisely
doing what a fly does
and continued his buzz
The man wasted most of his
life because
His last swing put him on pause
A final heart attack was
the cause
Unlike the fly the man wasted
most of his time living
never did much loving
and forgiving
The man lay on the ground dead
the fly enjoyed the taste of
his head
moved on to his food instead
Whether it be men or flies
spending time wisely always
applies
God bless,
Lew
spending time wisely always
applies
I appreciate once again the philosophical point of view that you have shared via your verses here, OPG. Love and peace to you,
