A Denzel Washington movie, in this movie Eli was the bible book. According to Eli, the book inspired us to do more for others than we do for ourselves. In the movie the world had seemed to had come to an end as we know it today, things that we take for granted now, in the movie were in short supply, like water for example. In the movie people died fighting over these same things that we all take for granted. And of course, during this time period in the movie, the bible was also a rare item. This is a very moving movie that inspired me to write this poem.
The book of defy
peers through many eye
The book won't be found
in writing pages
but it lives in so many
locked up in cages
and so many walking around
with their rages
even some wise men of sages
Quite a few of us
carry the book
You can tell by the
mean angry lost way we look
Watchout some have even
became the crook
They will steal stink from chit
if there's a value in it
Oh the games some people play
even the church goers that pray
Even some priest can't be held
to account for what they say
so they became part of the decay
In every lost and found heart
there is a story
right or wrong they'll swear
up and down of its glory
and will mess over others with
no plans to ever say I'm sorry
