Always is a way to hold onto sweet moments of love's enduring heart
sweet as the finest honey, fresh in air as a summer rain
Life to each be given, talked about with ease
~ Always and Together~
Upon an afternoon's delight, a beautiful Collie, Lady her name,
joined the groom and his new bride..a picnic, lovely
hand stitched coverlet, decadent lunch, from her
basket, neath a Mimosa, delicate silk
feathery clusters of pink
Poet each one, reading to one another, Lady tilting
her head as they read, curling to a nap
Lightly the rain begins, they gathered all under the Mimosa tree,
kissing each other so sweetly
~ Always and Together~
Into the meadow, the thunder afar, Lady, bounding playfully,
as they too, danced and giggled, gleefully played with Lady
Stopping at the garden, the groom opened the gate of the garden
for his new bride
She cut opened white roses, kissed gently by the rain, he gathered
strawberries so grand
The garden gate, he closed and slipped the latch, hurrying, running,
the rains came closer
Holding their poetry close, her basket now holding opened white roses,
kissed with glistening rain, sweetest strawberries grand
Fine pebbled, and moss covered road, protected by magnificant hanging
moss, cascading gloriously from the oaks
~Always and Together~
The couple hurried up the steps onto the veranda, then into the foyer
Lady's coat glistened, shaking briskly the rain from her beautiful long fur
The grand mansion, beautiful... white mounted peacock, marvelous,
in the decorative wood carved alcove... above is a majestic Elk mount,
antlers, spreading unending to sight, grand piano, in the vast library,
dinner an hours by
Chilled from the rain he layed oak logs in the hearth of the carved
marble fireplace, she placed the opened white roses in an heirloom vase,
washed strawberries, to an earthen bowl, placing each at their
hand painted rose writing table
Lady, lying by the hearth, her place, as his master and his bride
read poetry, each one to the other, tender sweet words of love
A drifting warmth from the fireplace, longing in light sleep
She awoke, a coverlet, she placed upon lap to warm him
She chose a single white opened rose from the heirloom vase,
sitting now in her winged chair, watching the embers, red
~ Always and Together~
She slept, he awoke..
Her shawl, he layed gently across her shoulders, kissing softly
her flushed cheek
He gazes, loving pleasant thoughts of the day, as his new bride sleeps
Poetry's Sweet moments of love's enduring heart,
he reads in a low whisper,
to his love
~Always and Together~
