Sirad is a super lady who spard no time and effort to support her son who happened to be among the best (if not the very best) of the new football generation. She was with him all the time and traveled with him to far away cities where omer's team in Norway seldom played with other teams.
The football talents endowed to Omer Getemasay will obviously change the distorted image of Somalia as papers will not write about us only when we fight but shall also devote a space to Omer's wonderful performances in the football fields thereby showing the world a fairly peaceful side of Somalia. She conceived brilliance
And gave birth to talent
She is a mom of difference
She is the mother of Omer
With love she brought him up
With love she supported him
Her son is a gifted footballer
Manchester city selected him
He is a star of hope and glory
Rising up in the sky of sports
Sirad is a super Mom in Norway
She invested in peace and love
And reaps the fruits of harmony
Not only for herself as a mother
But for all Somalis everywhere
Let’s share the bliss with the duo
A very proud mother and a delightfully dedicated son. The compliment they extend to each other is beyond words. Each to be proud of the other. Let the light shine through!

A wonderful tribute to Sirad. I do the same. My daughter is a softball pitcher for her high school. I've been there for her since she was 5, traveling all over.

There are many talented young Somalis. But the majority stay invisible due to lack of opportunities to support them.
