There was fear in the Communist rule of the Soviet union throughout its reign. If people were told to be be hanged, they would ask "shall we bring the ropes or the Government shall bring them" That is a living fear. The same scenario is unfolding in Somalia today whereby people are helpless to say no against the US air strikes which are targeting suspected Al-qaeda elements hiding out in some remote localities within Somalia. In the air strikes operation many innocent people will be killed while the culprits are most likely escaping to safer areas where again the Americans will attack causing enormous havoc on the local populations. Instead of saying no to the US bombing activities the survivors of the operation appeal for food to stay alive till next bombs start falling on.This is fear and helplessness.
While bombing please drop us some food
For those who survived the initial air strike
Shall not perish till next round of bombing
Between the bombs let us have some hope
America, have mercy please

Its ironical.its tragic. At the least very informative!
I hope our American friends n sibblings will understand the impact the barrel of a gun has on real innocent civillians half-way around the world.
let the kindhearted people of the world unite n stop war in ny of its ugly forms
I know. When life is at stake due to starvation, hope is buried in a deep grave. I get upset when I see a starving child who has no food near an armed man who cannot feed a baby, but can feed a gun easily. The value of the weapons in Somalia is greater than the value of all the food in the country. In fact, the cost of one bomb from American war planes is higher than the cost of feeding a whole region in Somalia.
We need to wake up. We are deeply asleep. Americans are human beings just like us. They properly utilized their resources including their mental faculties.
Thank you brother. I appreciate your concern for our fellow Somali citizens who are facing all kinds of hardship: war, drought, starvation, malnutrition, poverty, lawlessness, insecurity, disease, illiteracy, and all kinds of social problems.
