Displaced people in the surroundigs of Mogadishu, Somalia. Paying the price of FAILED LEADERSHIP. Two days ago government soldiers arrested a WFP officer in charge, Mr. Idris Osman in Mogadishu for reasons not yet known

Under the scorching heat
Their sweat is draining
their flesh is roasted
They are fetching water
They are displaced people
They are Mogadishu people
They are victims of terror
On grounds of insecurity
UN cancelled food donation
Soldiers raided Un compound
Seizing a UN staff member
In retaliation they stopped aid
Punishing innocent unarmed civilians
For the misconduct of few offenders
This is no less than a death sentence

Simply deplorable. I am ashamed that we sit here in the US and whine about standing in line at the grocery store for more than three minutes.

At some point in time the people of Somalia will arise enmasse and proclaim enough is enough. So sad that powers that be are so drunk on power they will see their own starve and suffer in this way and seizing those who are trying to help is insane. My prayers are with you little brother. PLB&G for showing many how fortunate we truly are. Grangran-n-Baba.

It is crazy. How can we be so stupid? I thought we only punished the guilty but now I wonder what is happening. I think mankind will be facing a Death Sentence if we can't solve our problems. Keep writing...JDM
