MATCH.COM
I'd been alone
for nearly 2 years.
It was time for me
to say good bye to the tears.
But how to begin,
I had no clue.
It had been 39 years
since I'd said, "I do."
To try to date
was scary indeed.
Going out into the world,
who would I meet?
My daughter suggested
I try Match.com.
But would that work
for this nervous older Mom?
I answered all the questions,
gave myself a screen name.
Each day I'd wander thru the site
but each man seemed the same.
Then one day I saw him.
all others faded away.
I sent him a wink
and he answered the same day.
We compared profiles
and chatted on line.
I found myself smiling,
which I hadn't, for quite some time.
Finally we met face to face
and I knew he was the one.
I knew we'd be happy
and we'd have lots of fun.
It's been two years now.
we've been on a cruise or two.
No longer are we lonely,
we always find things to do
He brought me happiness.
I'm so glad that we met.
But I'd still be searching
if not for the internet.
He truly is my perfect match.
and he quickly won my heart.
I think about him constantly
whenever we're apart.
We're planning a future
for our sunset years.
We'll be sharing our laughter
leaving behind the tears.
Match.com has my vote.
Our success can't be beat.
Don't wait, go ahead. try it.
You could be thrilled with who you meet
