Poem Artwork

I am not the inhabitant of any nation.
I am the global citizen of my own imagination.
But the smell of the soil, where you were born
heals my heart and makes me moan with joy .
It has the patriotism of the love.

I bring to my life an iota of death
and it makes me love you more
for I have only one life
to give all my love for you,
to share all my life with you.

Your love is the spark of the light
that burns the lamp of my future.
I do know that love cannot be imposed
from outside, it has to come from within
but deep down inside, I know you love me too.

Do not go, my love, the cold night
is before me, and I am already shivering.
Beloved! If you must go, grasp my hand,
let's go tongue to tongue together
all the way from here to the promised land.

I wish I could add, an hour in the morning
and an hour in the night so that I could
hold you forever in my arms. God, let me reside,
far from all, one step away from me, two steps
away from them, in the arms of my love..arms of my love.

My goodness, Yes! You've expressed an allegory here that I have just had my eyes opened to see, Bhuwan! The ground beneath my feet which gave me birth and sustains my life and breath... specific to the land of my origins - something very mystical and special about that and, over here in the UK, I am sure that we do not stop to think about that any longer. Because of the nationalistic overlay, "patriotism" has become an ugly-word and very much misappropriated. Thank you for this very beautiful, sensuous and wholly passionate poem. True love of whatever inspiration is a thoroughly consuming thing. Bless you, and may your abundance of love fuel your life and future. Am writing this weekend! Love and prayers, Kate xx

Bhuwan... This is a very special piece. It shows Its all. Love. The arms of your love flash through my mind, encompassing us all. A very spiritual, as well as carnal, experience. A poem to savor many times ... a poem to heal, and advance others.

Dear friend,
Yes, the arms of my love are my country, his heart my home, our oneness our dwelling, our moments together our abode within timelessness.
Thank you for this beautiful tribute to the one true patriotism.
