Dying eyes never lie

Poem Artwork

Don’t ask the meaning of life
to the dying man, take a deep look
at him, and read the meaning of life
line by line, on the screen of his eyes
because the dying eyes never lie, and
in those eyes are written, the uncensored
story of human’s perpetual strife
with their own ephemeral life.

You speak of truth my friend...Great poem and great picture to go with it.

terrible what some have to face. of course all these spoiled ass Americans find stupid stuff to agonize over. This is because they eat everyday and don't have to worry about getting their behinds blowed or shot off. So living eyes lie and are full of deciet. Short and powerful piece. G

Bhuwan,

You keeps us vigiled by conveying the consciousness of true man's compassion for one another. In our world the sentries ( like you) keep us responsible. Well, at least, for those of us with a full and true heart for our fellow man and his suffering.

Love,
Susan

This is quite eloquent truth, painful though it is, the world needs to heed and do something about it. ~~BonnieQ

I have to echo Robert Jude here...when he says this
is a "stunning revelation."
You have recorded an insight into soul, in just a few
words!
Your poetry is definitely the kind that will endure as
a 'classic.'

This is very heartbreaking. What I admire about this piece, is that it only took you a few words to tell the story -- more would have spoiled it. Very good Buhwan.

Heart breaking reminder of the folly of indiffirence towards the suffering of others while we have the ability to alleviate it. Hits straight into many tender spots. As usual your embracing compassion reaches out to the millions forgotten and voiceless and tells the world of tragedies untold and unheard. The real challenge is that each of us respond in the way they can and not just close their eyes and pretend that your poem and picture does not exist.

In appreciation.

Bhuwan, this is perfectly penned in the most human way. Well done and moving, as well.
