Forget-Me-Not

Sweet Smiles, happy persona
circumnavigate the very essence of a heart
with joyful reposes, even when joy lives far away
from the dwelling of a long since rusted penal emporium

How can love dwell within the confines
of walls that need to remain silent as the grave
lest they reveal bloodstained wallpaper, flaked paint
cleverly concealed with high density melodramatic music

Amid the explosive concoction, at it's zenith
blue petals of hope, floated gently through each room
dropping pungent aroma, for the not so desensitized nostril
to receive, though the will to breathe had all but given up the ghost

She thought she came and left no mark!

Imprints of tiny delicate petals remained
clouds surrounding the beautiful wistful eyesalve
heralding angels unseen, to protect and deliver at appointed time
moving to relocate, where no foot of fury could ever trample underneath..

Not Forgottten, Not Unremembered, Never thought ill of,
misunderstood longings,needs unresolved by the artful leer,
of circumstance beyond control, crying in pain to regain composure
clutching a small blue flower, with recitations over and over
