less definitely is more, as you have painted a vivid scene with so few words! I like the way you use the buildings to describe and personify the people. And you give voice to so many of our fellow humans who will probably never write of their lives. Brilliant work, Teddy.
Will read more I hope.
So elliptical and sparse in many ways, yet such an artist's eye for detail and underlining in others - like hello, Ni Hao! You make rhythm and flow in poetry seem so effortless in your bright narratives, Ken. I think the last two stanzas could stand very effectively on their own. Classy yet classless... just like you! :)) K xx
I've seen the poverty you write about and I've lso seen the bulging bellies and eyes of these people and I feel ashamed for being fortunate. You write of life and you touch so many people Kenny. Your quest is just beginning. I'm happy to know you and have a front row seat!

Clothespins of poverty...delapidated spirit for whatever reason, most likely China's governmental policies, the woman and her child equivalent to our homeless in America...it is good to be back in your own country, Kenny, there's more poetry that flows from Scotland's bagpipes than that which pings from China's sitars...get out your guitar and sing this song...enjoyed it as much as I did the first time around when I read it...be well, Kenny.
Contraband Marriage, traveling along the hemline of loving after incarceration, is a love story written in lyric and free form, set in reality with a different ever after.
Will read more I hope.
