In the loneliest depths of sorrow,
I swim alongside my little mermaid;
over fields, with the ugly duckling
I wander - Gerda searching for Kay.
Yet, in truth, my soul is dancing
like little Ida's flowers;
I've found my voice, I'm Hans!
