George MacDonald

George MacDonald was a preacher man,
into Middle England he tried to bring fantasy
like a miner laddie come out of the earth.
The Light Princess had no gravity,
she just floated around the kingdom,
and couldn't keep her feet on the ground.
The northern lights still shine on the pier,
Graduation ceremony goes on every year,
how many read MacDonald in old Aberdeen?

George MacDonald

George MacDonald was a preacher man,
into Middle England he tried to bring fantasy
like a miner laddie come out of the earth.

She couldn't keep her feet on the ground,
the Light Princess had no gravity.
She just floated around the kingdom.

Professor Tolkien liked his work
and the Reverend Dodgson was a pal,
Lewis Carroll of Alice in Wonderland.

Graduation ceremony goes on every year
and the northern lights still shine on the pier
but how many read MacDonald in old Aberdeen?

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
