Persimmons, waiting for the maturing sun
I've been advised to put you in a sealed bag
with some apples to make you soften
and be ready for eating
but I'll just leave you on the window sill
and come back in a week or a few days,
and press the flesh again,
you exotic foreign dignitaries.
A further collection of poems, many from years in the Middle East, but also the California San Francisco and Central Coast areas (Santa Cruz, Carmel, Big Sur, Berkeley, etc.).
Love ya!
