On the Halloween Shore
Something lurking here,
something washed up today,
a Jack o' lantern on the Halloween shore
something with a wide grin
something the waves brought in,
a drifter in the dark, Halloween Jack
He's kin to Captain Bluebeard
and flies the skull and cross bones
on his Halloween orange and black
ghost ship!
Something on the foreshore
something on the beach,
Halloween Jack, bleaching
in the moonlight, better watch out
tonight, you midnight beachcombers.
