Gone With The Wind

A beautiful woman in troubled times,
I read the book in Junior High,
A masterpiece from the deep south,
I'm looking for my own Tara on high.

Where have I gone? I've gone with the wind,
down south where the folks sure are nice;
In the warm spring, the flowers are coming up
in a rush that would make ol' Winter blush.

Pitching my revival tent in Dollywood,
holding onto Tara like Scarlett O’Hara.
Finding the recipe for the good life,
taking up cooking like Julia Child yes, sah!

It took me a whole bunch of years
to get back home to my little town,
sitting on the porch singing my songs,
the country life never lets me down.
