The colors of the loom like strings of a harp,
and so I must weave a beautiful song in cloth,
an Irish ballad in Donegal tweed,
a Chinese folk song in Suzhou silk.
The colors on the loom they please my heart,
I feel perfectly in tune with my strings.
I like the rain and the grey skies, the sea fogs,
The soft Irish weather, I'll read poems inside,
and stay with my loom and bobbins and yarns
and wait for a rainbow to appear in my room.
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
This is a book of free verse poetry that addresses the seven main tests in life and offers some sensible solutions to passing those tests with minimal discomfort.
