He's strangely arty farty, the artist in the troop
a real green monkey, though he gets away with it
for he makes the alpha monkey whoop.
He's using tools like leaves and sticks
and makes the others think he may be an evolutionary leap
possibly a manqué lanky proto-human!
He's strangely arty farty, he plays with big elephants
and stares down tigers with a girning grimace
that makes them turn tail.
He's never on his tod, but longs for his own space
to make his final artistic statement, an installation
he calls a tree-house, including mop and pail.
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.
