Kintsugi

She went to Jingdezhen, Jiangxi,
to work as a potter at the imperial kilns.
She repaired broken vessels,
restoring old porcelain with gold.

Kintsugi, her exquisite
gold-working skills were so
refined,
Chinese friends almost forgot
that she came from Tokyo,
not Jingdezhen.

Like a rare artist in the imperial
kilns
she had by that time become,
and, for Jiangxi and China,
a very great friend.


金缮

她去了江西景德镇，

在御窑做陶工。

她修补破碎的器皿，

用金子修复旧瓷器。

金缮，她精湛的金工技艺，
