Walls and Walls of Glass

Sold our house

Now what will we do?

A month and a half

            to find and move

            to a new house.

So many choices

But many just fall through.

Said I’d never again

            buy a fix-r-upper or

            buy one too big.

Thinking about

Buying a 1950’s modern.

But they seem to be

            too small or

            need lots of work.

I want lots of glass

Walls and walls of glass.

And open spaciousness within

            with stainless steel

            and long wood floors.

Bedroom glass doors open

Staying warm by a fire.

And make sweet love

            in the moonlight

            listening to Billy Joel.

We sold our house
