Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will . . . lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live. --Ezek. xxxvii. 5, 6.
~~~~LIVING TISSUE, LIVING WORDS~~~~
I am living tissue, infused with memories Visioned by my eye of thought, where my spirit breathes Housed within this vessel, given on my birth Centered on my measure...balancing my worth
Privilidged by the very breath, exhaled by my lungs Gratified for thoughts expressed.....and for those unsung Thankful for brown eyes that see.....and can also close Greatful for that voice within....helping me compose
Knowing that these two hands, can never catch the rain Using touch to soothe my babies...mending growing pains Walking up the hills of life, to hopefully stroll down Hearing what I need to hear....open to all sounds
Tasting flavors of this life...giving "most" the chance Gaining courage thru my fears, for strength to make a stance Living peaceful thru the storms, that often blow my way Greatful to my Lord above......Although I seldom pray
Oooops! Sorry Lord You Know I LOVE You!!! Gracias! Anita PS I will try harder!
Anita this is so lyrical, Beautifully written!
our good thoughts are prayers and so are our
songs...prayer is heard by Him in many ways we
never imagine...To admit we know Him is what
He requires most!
Wonderful, Anita. I know you read my poem "Arrogance, Thy Name is Poet!" and got it at the end. LOL. It's directed to a particular brand of political/acitivist poet that I usually commend but that I also feel sometimes confuses the calling of poet with the calling of prophet, and some are as hypocritical as the religious preachers they ostracize.
While all poets have A Truth to tell, not all poets speak truth absolutely all the time. If they did, that would make poets gods. Yet some of these people would have us, poets and nonpoets alike, walk around in gray, dust our heads with ashes, and never see beauty or know joy until the world is right according to them. They seem to think that poetry began with Gil Scott Heron or with whichever Last Poet they discovered first.
But He is privy to our every thought...so He hears you even though.
Anita, your words beat through the core of everything unworthy.
Excellent write!
What gentle, quiet truths you pen, Anita. Power is not about loud or strong or angry... it's about knowledge and beauty, so beautifully woven into your poetry. It doesn't shout, it reaches out and shares.
Don't worry about not praying enough, though, cuz with all I ask/beg for, He's probably grateful for the rest in your heart. (smile) katy xox.
You got it, Lady!! And its His breath you're breathing as you breathe out these words of pure worship. This puts a smile on His face for sure, just as it breathes life, truth and a sense of worth into our own hearts, too. This is an inspired gift straight from the mind of God - bless you for this "prayer". PS Don't sweat it - and same song sheet?! Nearly wrote on the topic of Grady's comment below today myself! Love your attitude of gratitude and the picture is divine! TY Kate xx
touching and very expressive, it's best to be honest with the man. A person that prays everyday and doesn't want to pray but every now and then is being dishonest and phony. The Lord know this! l&p G
Very warm , touching and inspiring Anita
Yup..We should all be grateful for the miracle of life...and the opportunities to show our love to the Lord..
