Poem Artwork

I have been a prisioner of my own blindness at times.  Seeing only as far as my immediate environment, and looking for answers, beyond my touch.  Getting lost in the roar of situations.  Realizing afterwards that if I had quieted, and listened to that voice within, I would have healed sooner. For peace was within, despite the outer winds.  Ahhh lessons learned! That's what being human is all about.......

Hand Of The Father

Under the skies, and over the couds
Layed upon, draping around
Suspended, yes waiting, lighter than air
Shadows of tears, lips on the prayer

Prayer for the broken, prayer for relief
Prayer from the silent, knees of the week
Parting the dark, curtain of night
Under the skies, prayer for the light

Prayer in the living, actions of deeds
Harvest or famine, lie the of seed
Dropped in the furrows, tended with care
Mercies of fate, root of despair

Prayer from the soul, prayer from the mind
Begging, and bargains, barters in kind
Palms clasped together, yet opened to grasp
Needing to know, everything asked

Needing and pleading, sorrows and pain
Blind to the gifts, silently gained
There as intended, there all along
Hand of the Father, gentle and strong

Pax

Hand of the Father...a beautiful poem with a meaningful title, Anita. Without the hand of the Father, where would we be? What would we be? An inspirational write, certainly for me. Thank you.

God Bless
Love, Lena

Our Father knows us better than we know ourselves. He knows what we need before we even ask. He even interprets the groanings in our hearts. And when we think we are about to sink in quicksand, before we realise, the hand of the Father has scooped us up tenderly into His and carried us gently and lovingly to the other side. Yeah, He's been there 'all along'.

I Began to read your poem and stOpped at the beginning. I called for Mariah to come and listen as I read it. Then as she murmured sOmething about "how'd she write like that" I proceeded to read the poem.
You are awesome. The prayer is from my Heart and my daughter's as well. how do you do it Pax...how do you know what is in our hearts for the Father?
Amen.

Susan

If I had to choose, Im not sure which I prefered, your poem or the introduction...so it's safe to say, I enjoyed and learned equally from both! How often our concern for others leaves little for ourselves, such that we have to be reminded to take a minute to feel the gentle had on our shoulder reminding us that he is with us...I know the hand and the calm it brings. Thanks for sharing yourself with us.
Love, Taylor

Dear Anita,

Often, when we are drowning, we do not see the hand reaching out to us in love. Beautifully written, as always, yet the format did not follow your intentions.

Love & Light,

This is a most wonderful write, I agree with Victor...he does want us to call him as a child to a father..after all he is our father and in control of it all. Exceptional poem...keep up the good work.
Blessings,
