“Poetry is the impish attempt to paint the color of the wind.”

 M Bodenheim

 Wind

There was a poem on the wind

But no one listened

It sulked like a frustrated child

Repeating verses through a valley of altitude

Fading within itself

Vanished yet remaining present

If no one is listening, can something be dismissed

Presence has to be established before disclaim

And disclaim must follow judgment

Judgment must follow reaction

Reaction must follow.........exposure

This poem upon the wind....

Whose ears did it caress

Whose heart was touched by it

This poem upon the wind......

Was meant to be shared

This poem that pushed through the air

As a birth of thought

Oh no!

No one is listening!

An orphaned poem upon the wind

Nomadic stanzas on the breeze

Wandering like Moses

Looking for the promised land

But in this case

A soul to embrace

The simplicity

Of the obvious

woosh

I was blown away by "WIND!" The logical flow of thought and the anthropomorphism of the "orphaned poem upon the wind" and the "Nomadic stanzas on the breeze Wandering like Moses" are
brilliant! You have penned a fine piece! Really nice graphic that fits the poem well too!

Wonderful, Anita...and you are so right. I think of the wind that wisks away so many poems on my mind when I fail to take the time to leave myself notes or even a word or to to help me remember. I hate losing the ones that blew away unnoticed and unpenned. If only I could find them.
Love,
Taylor

Sooner or later, the wind touches someone and that someone is bound to listen. I love your concept, Anita. Very inspiring. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and peace to you,

You have inspired me. The wind paints a picture and even if it is unseen it still changes the shape of things.
God Bless,
Lew

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH.... her echoes reverberate and intensify until her SHOUTS are heard through the glorious windchimes of your mind, Anita. Her inspiration has become your verbal music. Unfettered and full of a fresh vitality. I like! :)) TY Kate xx
