When You Pray, Good Things Come

When you pray, good things come
Slowly, slowly, one by one
Send your heart, up above
Know your needs are heard with love

Just believe God wants the best
Yet we mortals test and test
Life is meant to be our gift
Till the day, our spirits lift

Into our creator's light
Whose love is always, in plain sight
Not by the eye, but by the heart
With prayer, we reach, our dearest part

Our father's love would never hide
For in our hearts, it does reside
And when you pray, those good things come
Slowly, slowly, one by one

Very good my friend, a profound write as well as wise, as the old cliche says...good things come to those who wait...one thing I try to remind myself of is that our time is not His time, helps me stay patient and wait on Him. Enjoyed this much!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

What a warm and wonderful inspiration this poem is, Anita. Prayers are always answered, often not in the way we had expected but always in the way that is best for our life. We are given two things in this life, blessings and blessings in desguise. It is up to us to find the goodness and lesson in the latter. Wonderful poem, Anita and one that should grace the walls of every home.
Take care,
Sherry

BEAUTIFUL AND OH SO TRUE!!! This is one to learn by heart, Anita, just for the sheer joy of it and uplifting karma. Count your blessings, name them one by one... Surely a tableland of good things IS spread before us, though concealed by the cloth! :)) Wonderfully inspirational. TY Kate xx

God does answer prayers, one-by-one. We may not like His answers, but He always knows what is best for us. And, someday we'll understand just how loving He is, and, hear "YES, you passed the test."

Your poem parallels my view of God and all His goodness and love.

God bless you,
Kathy
