Poetry's Skinned Kiss It's a craving and a yearning For what you do not know It's the itch you want to rub Like a rash upon the soul It can wake you from short slumber Be companion as you drive Why me, you think, in wonder Does it need me to survive It is loyal, I am fickle It is fickle, as I'm true For years we spun in harmony And now that dance seems through Now where is inspiration Have years worn thin our bond For when your voice sings out to me I choose not to respond I miss the urge to pen a poem Yet when I can, I won't I wore you like a second skin Yet stripped of rhyme.....I don't Burrr Cold! I miss the odd companionship We two once shared in bliss For whose back turned on face Without a good bye kiss Pax A 9/15/07

I'm as Fee with this echo....you haven't lost a thing. I believe there are those times when our Muse get's hoarse and then we need to punt. I like being tried without my Muse at times. It makes me more of a free thinker.
