I was poking around AD, came across some heartbreak poetry, started out to write a poem about survival, but my poem took another route....I went all dramatic lol
S I N G E D The fire spoke in tongues to me Sliced the darkness, let me see Brought me warmth beyond my skin Scaled the boundaries built within It was the hearth of sustenance Burning flames of sweet incense A spark as tiny as a seed Enveloped me, with fevered speed And there I stayed beside the flame Consumed by light, with naught to blame Forgotten now, were shadows past For I glowed in the light at last Until the fire spread it's touch Dancing wild, swelling thrusts Consuming all within it's reach Burning greedily......for each Now as the fire, grew and spread Behind were coals left in it's stead No wild dance, of amber lights Just coals of black, lost in the night PAX A 10/08/07
