INSIDE ALIVE, APART

For years she lived inside herself
Disconnected from fleshy vessel
Comparmentalized behind blue eyes
Ignoring all, she'd wrestle

There beneath a surface life
Preserved and insulated
Stacked the years, without a tear
Her seperate self....created

Knock knock, who's there
Do you remember me
I'm sorry but we've never met
The mirror said to .....she

I once knew, a SOUL like you
A slice of sun in mist
Brightly shining through the storms
Until the lighting kissed

Zap, slap, a walking nap
A zombie with a heart
Trained to live with blinders
Inside alive.......apart
