Am I asleep to my own knowledge If so
Please wake me up
Am I deceived by knowledge Then return me to ignorance
Do you know what I do not know Please teach me

I CANNOT WALK THIS PATH

I cannot walk this path, it is unseen

I know not what lies ahead

So many detours, in the haze, and misdirections

Even the destination is now unclear Unknown

I thought I knew where I was going

My purpose in life My calling

Focused on the goal but not on the road

I stumble fall lose my way

Hope fails without evidence Without proving

Belief must have knowledge

In order to be nurtured In order to survive

There must be knowing Must be something deep within

I knew it once or thought I did

Is anything truly known when there is doubt

And yet does doubt rob the knowing

Or does knowing give birth to doubt  I do not know

I do not know Cannot know

All my knowing is nought

Gone with the flooding overwhelming opinions of others

Who believe themselves more knowing than I

Am I asleep to my own knowledge If so

Please wake me up

Am I deceived by knowledge  Then return me to ignorance

Do you know what I do not know Please teach me

We create our own journeys and yet

What is it that I am creating

For I cannot see what I expected  What I thought to create

Nor did I expect what I now see

I will wait

It is all that I can do

Wait for the path to be clear

The future indicated

The journey confirmed

And in the waiting

Perhaps

 The knowing will come

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
