Humour Me series, The Tao of the Quantum Self

I think not thinking
May be a thought
A quantum thought
But I will have to think about that

Poem Artwork

I HAVE BEEN THINKING

 I think I thought a thought

That was not a thought at all

 Just me thinking

 I was thinking the thought

I thought I needed to think

By thinking there was a thought

 To be thought about

But on thinking about the thought

 I realized

 All is more thoughtless

 Than I am thinking

 And

 In thinking that

 I thought

 Perhaps I need to think

About thinking less

 And

 Think about

 Being thoughtful more

 Which is why I thought

 It would be thoughtful

To express my thoughts to you

 About not thinking

About what you are thinking about

 And not thinking about

What you are not thinking about

 And to admit

 I wasn't thinking about

What I was not thinking about either

 And gave no thought

 To how thoughtless

You might think me to be

 By not thinking

About what you were not thinking about

 Nor thinking about

 What thoughts I might have

To help you think more about

What you were not thinking about

 Because I had not thought

That perhaps you did not know

 To think about

What you were not thinking about

Any more than I knew to think

About what you were not thinking about

 Or to think about

What I was not thinking myself either

Because I had not thought to do so

 And thinking about that

 I thought

 All I can say is

 What was I thinking

Which I think is the Eternal Thought

 And

When it comes to the Eternal Thought

  Of course

The more you try to not think about it

The more you will think about it

  If only to think

It would be good to be able

 To not think about it

 And to not think

 About not being able

 To not think about it

Which of course is quantum thinking

Which we need to think about

 And thinking about that

 I thought

Quantum thinking comes back to that same question

 What was I thinking about

Which is the thought of course

 That we didn't have

 And we weren't thinking

 Otherwise

 We would not think

 That we needed to think

 What our thoughts were

 And might have been

 And thinking that

 I thought

 Quantum thought

 Leads us to think

 There are more thoughts

To be thought than we think

 Which made me think

 How that thought returns again

 To the Eternal thought of

 What am I thinking

 And I think

I don't want to think about that

Because I think

 All this thinking

 About thinking and not thinking

 Is an interesting thought

But I think it makes my head hurt

  I think

 It’s just a thought

I think I will think about that

When I stop thinking these thoughts

 Because

 I think not thinking

 May be a thought

 A quantum thought

But I will have to think about that
