I LOVE MY TENT

 Every time I put it up

I get it all wrong

Wrong Poles in the wrong place

Always  forgetting

Starting over again

 I love my tent I do

Big windows for great views

Ventilated airy roomy

Time out

And just for me

Cold say the kids

Of my summer tent

Brisk invigorating Say I

Frost in your hair Ice on the ground

Flaps wide open oh Yeah

Open air sleeping

Take off the fly no rain tonight

See the sky, watch the trees moving

Get back to nature

Let’s be ALIVE

How have we forgotten

The touch of the soil

Caress of the wind

And smell of the grass

Joy of the birdsong awakened within

To dance in the rain

And drink from its drops

Jumping and laughing

For growth and renewing and storms passing by

Thankful methinks

Toes in the sand

Waves crashing on jeans Soaked

Laughter and loving

Carefree regenerating and connecting

Moments of freedom

Remembering the seasons

Knowing their worth

Each one important

Hugging a tree and hugging myself

The cycle of life

Nature and universe

They and I one

Finding contentment grounding and peace

So glad to have stopped for this moment in time
