Walk softly on this Earth
In hushed reverence
For the Wisdom Patience Knowing
Of The Elders TheAncient Ones
United both, Man and Nature
Footprints in the Sands of Time
We do not own this Earth
Nor control its Destiny
Beyond the momentary imprint
Of our Being, or not Being
Stewards of this Time and Place
We fail to Honour Respect Trust
Ten thousand thousand years
From Now, Existence
No longer measured by humans
Earth Sky Water and Created
Will continue, only the Imperfection
That is Man, will be gone
Undeserving of the Beauty
Ungrateful for the Privilege
Ignorant of our Oneness with the Whole
We stomp upon this World
A destructive force beyond Natures wrath
Author of our own extinction
Earth and Nature reclaiming Balance
Obliterate humanity from their History
As the wind wipes clean the sand
So is Man on the pages of Time
A temporary stain that mars
The inexplicable Tapestry of the Universe
Unless
Man walks softly
Respectfully Harmoniously One
Remembering connections, Past, Future
Marking not the Earth but Eternity
Not with Footprint but with Vibration
With Love Respect Gratitude
Walk softly!
Ron
Well done Suzanne!
Kathy
Nor shouted
Nor whispered.
Soon to be ignored.
