Satan Rides the Range

Poem Artwork

Satan rides the range,
In al Baprah by the Persian Gulf,
And he’s been known to occasionally catch a drink,
In Tel Aviv,
At a café,
Where he silently sits by himself.

The demon is ever vigilant,
And he intervenes wherever he can,
Shaping the politics of the whole human race,
In the Middle East,
And in America,
Where he masquerades as a middle-aged man.

Some feel that he causes temptation,
From somewhere deep within,
But I think he walks through the sands of time,
Now,
And throughout history,
And back to when it all began.

Christians and Jews look about you,
As the dangers lurk ever more near,
And the black-eyed Hun plots your destruction,
With violence,
Surprise,
And fear.

Now, we continue to worship,
The martyrs of days gone by,
But more Christians will hang,
Or lose their heads,
Unless you join with the enemy,
And commit atrocities by their side.

Yes, I saw him talking to a child in Babylon,
Telling him about the tower of old,
And  I saw him having lunch with the prime minister,
In Tehran, where the plates were made of gold.
He made an appearance at a mosque in
Mosul
,
Where shoes were stacked on a shelf,
There he knelt, and he bowed, and  he chanted a prayer,
That was mostly to himself.

Please, my friends, be alert,
For the time of strife is near.
Walk faithfully along the narrow path,
And watch for our Lord to appear.

A stark and dreadful warning, Frank. Timely and true.

I'm serious when I said I had to wait for the chill bumps to go away before I could comment.
I'm gonna save this, so that I share it with my family members.
Wonderful and touching work.
