Poem Artwork

 I firstly was an adherent of books and swords,

And only then I was blessed with wisdom of great men.

In the east my civil service received no rewards;
In the western campaign my weapon got me no fame.

I studied writings and I mastered my martial arts;
I mastered my martial arts and I studied writings.

Today I’m already too aged;

What is ahead of me is not worthy of mentioning.

I do appreciate your wording, sir, I couldn’t put it better. In fact, it’s all about ‘gong-fu,’ your obtained through lifespan capability to keep on your legs and gulp down some external pressure of life for the sake of common peace, that’s all. It has nothing to do with ‘puzzling’ or ‘mysteries.’ The whole question is whether you can bear it to the end or not. I thank you again for your kind viewing.

Creating and solving riddles and such was once a major passtime and part of interactions on every level of society. I am an old man, too, and am happy to say that I never got very good at puzzles and mysteries, but I have managed to make a life with one other human being. "Peace," a wise man said, "is love and love is hard. Otherwise we would all be better at it."
