If you want to know a match
For a good luck and ill, you can look
At water and ice, to be precise.
When water freezes hard it turns into ice;
When ice melts it reverts to water.
For this reason and nothing else,
Being solid and strong, you’ll surely need
To relax and have a rest for keeping on;
Being once born, you’ll still return
To your pre-birth conditions and terms.
Thus, water and ice do no harm each other;
Life and death are equally beautiful thing.

Heaven and Earth receive their positions
On high and beneath;
The lofty peaks and deep seas
Interchange their immensity;
Thunders and winds excite each other
The more they move across the skies;
Water and fire arrange each other
With no charge.
All these elements manifest themselves

According to the seasons
To fade then away in the void again
With due time
Predefined for them by the heavens.
