I have heard of those who fly with wings,
I have not heard of flying without them;
I have heard of the knowledge of the wise,
I have not heard of the knowledge
Of the unwise. Besides, I have never
Heard of those who were born not to die.
Not to move a step is easy; to walk
Without treading on the ground is difficult.
In acting after the manner of humans,
It is easy to fall into hypocrisy;
In acting after the manner of Heaven,
It is difficult to play the hypocrite.
By opening no other door and employing
No other devices but dwelling with one
Rigid rule as with your bosom friend,
Sharing the same abode, as if you have
No other roommate, and you’ll not be far
From success in your doomed objective.
