It is the Great Dao that overspreads

And sustains all the myriad things.

O how great it is in its overall influence!

The true man is he who by all means

Removes from his mind everything

That is contrary to the ways of Nature.

Acting neatly and highly precisely,

Without further ado, is what is called

Heaven's way of Realization.

Speech coming forth of itself

Is what is called a mark

Of the true Accumulation of Virtues.

Loving men and benefiting things

Is what is loudly called Benevolence.

Seeing wherein things which are different

Yet agree with each other is what is called

The Greatness of Harmony.

Conduct free from ambitions

Of being distinguished above others

Is what is called Generosity.

The possession in oneself

Of a myriad points of difference

Is what is called Richness.

To hold fast to the natural attributes

Is what is called the guiding line

Of the long-term Governing.

The perfecting of those attributes

Is what is called Establishment.

Accordance with the ways of Dao

Is what is called Completeness.

And not allowing anything external

To affect one's good will

Is what is called Perfection from within.
