All those who would correct Their characters and features By means of vulgar studying, Seeking to restore them To their virgin condition; and All those who would regulate Their desires by the coarse ways Of overthinking, seeking thereby To carry their intelligence To the state of perfection, Must be pronounced as deluded And ignorant people Who know not their authenticity And therefore their true mission.

I guess the secret is to be who you are, but improve what needs improving. Never perfect but alw4ays striving to be so. As Michael wrote below, "a genuine imitation."

I tend to overthink things, especially when it concerns what I'm writing. Sometimes I'll get hung up on one word, trying to decide which word works best. But I also can make make snap decisions when needed. As for my authenticity, I'm a genuine imitation.

"Vulgar studying"? Is that like plebeian scholarship? I'm certain most of us, at one time or another, have been caught-up in over-thinking something. I sure have. Sometimes the mind slips and spins and burns like bad clutch plates. No one in this world is pure and perfect. If you avoid people because of their shortcomings you will always be alone. Buddha proffered: "In the end only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you." Peace... r
